Amanda McCallister
graduated from Marshall University in 2003 with a degree in
Kindergarten and Specialization in Pre-Kindergarten. She is
25 years old and lives with her husband in South Point where they
have been blessed with a beautiful farm. They have horses,
dogs, and cats which they spend a great deal of time with.
"My reason for wanting to become a teacher is simple, I want to
give back what has been given to me. We've all had good and
bad experiences, but I want to help children see that they have a
purpose in life and that all things are possible. They are
precious gifts from God and it pleases me to be in their presence
and to be part of their lives."

"I became a teacher because of the wonderful
examples I had that impressed upon me, the importance of
education, and the powerful influence a teacher can have on a
student's life. I love teaching because my students teach me
every single day. We have a family atmosphere, for we share
not just our learning experiences together, but our lives as well.
I am honored to be teaching these children not just academics, but
the ways of the Lord as well."
